Privacy Policy

Effective Date: May 25, 2026

Forecastion respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use Forecastion, including our website, application, forecasting tools, workspace features, sharing features, exports, and related services.

By using Forecastion, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect the following categories of information:

Account Information

If you create an account, we may collect information such as your name, email address, authentication details, and account preferences.

User Content

We may collect information you upload, paste, enter, create, save, or submit into the Service, including datasets, CSV files, model inputs, assumptions, forecasts, workspaces, formulas, exports, titles, and related content.

Usage and Analytics Information

We may collect information about how you interact with the Service, including pages visited, features used, events triggered, buttons clicked, session activity, browser type, device type, approximate location, referral source, and technical performance data.

We use PostHog for product analytics. PostHog may use cookies or similar technologies when you consent to analytics cookies.

Technical Information

We may collect IP address, device information, browser information, operating system, log data, error reports, and security-related information.

Communications

If you contact us, submit feedback, join a waitlist, or respond to surveys, we may collect the information you provide.

2. How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • Provide, operate, maintain, and improve Forecastion.
  • Create and manage accounts.
  • Save and display workspaces, forecasts, models, and related content.
  • Enable sharing, copying, and exporting features.
  • Analyze product usage and improve the user experience.
  • Monitor performance, debug errors, and secure the Service.
  • Communicate with users.
  • Develop new features and functionality.
  • Enforce our Terms of Service.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

3. Analytics and Cookies

We use PostHog to understand how users interact with Forecastion and to improve the product.

PostHog analytics may involve non-essential cookies or similar technologies. Where required, we request consent before using non-essential analytics cookies. You can accept or reject analytics cookies through our cookie banner or cookie settings.

If you reject non-essential analytics cookies, we will not intentionally use analytics cookies for your session. Essential technologies necessary for authentication, security, and core app functionality may still be used.

We do not intentionally track the contents of uploaded files, pasted datasets, forecasts, assumptions, model outputs, or workspace data through analytics events. However, you should avoid placing sensitive information in titles, labels, event-triggering fields, or other metadata that could be captured by analytics tools.

Where you consent to analytics, we may record anonymized session replays of your interface interactions to diagnose usability problems. Replays are privacy-masked: text you type is never captured, and data-bearing areas — pasted or imported datasets, charts, statistics, model cells, and workspace names — are masked or excluded from the recording. If you reject analytics cookies, no session replay is recorded.

4. How We Share Information

We may share information with:

  • Service providers that help us host, operate, secure, analyze, or improve the Service.
  • Analytics providers, including PostHog.
  • Authentication, database, infrastructure, and hosting providers.
  • Professional advisors, if necessary.
  • Legal authorities, if required by law or to protect rights, safety, or security.
  • Successors in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, sale of assets, or similar transaction.

We do not sell your personal information in the conventional sense. If our practices change, we will update this Privacy Policy.

5. User Content and Confidentiality

Forecastion is not currently intended for highly sensitive, regulated, or confidential data.

Do not upload or enter information that you are not authorized to use in the Service. You are responsible for determining whether the Service is appropriate for your data and use case.

We use reasonable measures to protect User Content, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as necessary to provide the Service, maintain accounts, improve the product, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

You may request deletion of your account or certain data by contacting us.
